1.Invest in your training!

To become a successful Aesthetic Therapist, it is vital to get the correct training. As a complete beginner, you will need to start with an NVQ Level 3 in Beauty or equivalent (HND for Scotland).

This qualification is a legal requirement to work in most clinics. It will teach you the basics of Beauty and various treatments, including anatomy and physiology, body massage, facial electrical treatments, and body electrical treatments.

You will then be able to move onto the Level 4. It is becoming the legal requirement in many areas in the UK for Therapists to have a Level 4 qualification if they are working with lasers and other advanced devices. The Level 4 teaches you about the more advanced treatments such as laser and IPL.
